Tatu.
Tatu is a Russian lesbian duo of 2 17 and 18 year old girls. They sing electro pop. I have known about them for quite sometime but never was interested, until today I saw ONE picture of them. That was it, I fell in love, I downloaded 100 pictures, read all the press I could find on them, downloaded all their music videos and all their albums. I even went and bought a very expensive poster. I went crazy, I spent the whole day doing this. I don't know what's wrong with me. Anyways I uploaded 8 random pics to my geocities website . Just scroll down through the list to pics tatu1.jpg through tatu8.jpg. The other pics are just pics of me if you guys care :O.

Oh yah, let me tell you about some noteable falls.
#1 - Mainline Terrain Park, I went off a ramp, I was scared, I was going very slow, I got little air, didn't clear the jump, lost control, hit the hard clearence area with my shoulder, rolled down.
#2 - Granite Chief - the run under the lift, knee deep moguls, I went too fast, got my skis burried in one of the moguls, went flying over them, landed on my head.
#3 - The beginner run where I hit the tree with my head and dented the bark.
#4 - Steep ass expert only run off of Silverado. It's hella steep, I don't know the grade but i've never skiied anything this steep. There is a big fear of avalanches by the way. 6 people died back in 70's on that run if I am not mistaken. Ok, I make a bad turn in the powder, fall, roll down the run not being able to stop for a very long time. Attempt hiking for 10 minutes to get my skis, not sucessiful due to steepness,. wait for another 20 for someone to come down and get them for me.
#5 - (Today - cold - wet - miserable - good powder) - Advanced run off of KT-22 chairlift. Steep powder run - great run. I come to an overly steep place, I go down as normal, only to realize tha I am about to jump off a rock, I jump, about 4 feet air, land in steep powdered moguls, (very very wet and cold) - both skis fall off, one stays near me, one falls about 100 feet below me. There is nothing like sking a steep mogul run on 1 ski and one boot.

Thank You.

I am back. On Saturday I purchased 1079$ worth of NEW! ski equipment. Including: 180cm 2003 Salomon Pilot Verse 10 skis, with built in bindings for amazing curving ;o, 2003 Salomon Evolution 8.0 W Boots with memory foam which fits arounds my legs for total comfort, and a kick ass helmet which prolly saved my life about 3 days ago. Ok, so Sunday I get up at 4:30 AM and me + 2 friends + mom, leave for Squaw Valley USA. Squaw Valley is in my opinion the best ski resort for ADVANCED SKIERS in the world. (Yes, I know about Alps.) We arive right around the time the lift opens, I get a ticket and go on the gondola, barely holding back from laughing when my friends start gasping when the gondola swings over peaks (they've never been to Squaw before.) Ok so I ski a few intermediate runs, all is fine, until I start feeling a sharp pain in my shins. GG 300$ boots. So I guess I tightened the boots too tight since the buckles are on a super gosu lever system, which allowed me to tighten them without any resistance from my shin bones. So, I had to ski with fucked up shins for 5 days, it was OK though with some aspirin and plenty of camels. 2nd day comes, all is well, I start up with a BEGINNER RUN as usual. I get bored half way through, and start going backwards. A snowboarder cuts across, I barely miss him, loser control, go into the forest, hit my head on a tree. The bark still has a dent. Thank you helmet. Third day was great, I skiied Silverado all day long (if anyone been to Squaw they know Silverado is the dopest and hardest lift there is.) Ok fast forward to last day (today). Early morning, I go on the mountain, take my usualy first run, and realize that all the lifts to take me back up are on Wind Hold. Apperently there was a god damn storm today. Why don't anyone tell me these things? So I spent about 30 minutes, hiking back up, just to see the lifts come off "wind hold" as I was nearing the top. :(
So then I skiied for about 4 hours in horribly wet snow, everything on me was wet. It blew. The powder was nice though, so there is an OK trade off. So the dreaded 4PM comes when the lifts close. We start back home, just to face the grim effects of the storm. (We drove on a Chevy Malibu with NO snow tires.) So we go through about 5 "chains requiered" warnings. (I've seen these almost every year, they are never enforced.) And what do you know, there is a road block fo 2 police SUV's, inspecting cars for Chains or 4x4+snow tires. We had niether, they sent us off the freeway onto the exit to get the tires. I took my nifty map out, and found a way to get back onto the freeway 10 miles farther using small country roads. Too bad these roads were covered with deep snow. We had to push our car out 3 times. We made it back on the freeway. There was another cop car on the shoulder inspecting for chains. I went into the left lane, parallel to a huge truck, the cop didn't see me. We got by. Good Shit. Good Night. Going to go nurse my fucked up shins, and get some well deserved rest.

Peace
